From the beach you will find the Montezuma Firefly Beach Houses property sign steps from the beautiful Pacific Ocean, that’s where your retreat begins. Ideal for a romantic getaway, surfing adventure, yoga retreat and more- these three private and beautiful houses are located in the jungle where the trees meet the sand. You are only steps away from the beach where you can meditate with the sunrise, surf the waves in front of the house or hike for miles along one of the most beautiful beaches to be found. Enjoy the gorgeous views from your doorstep and the relaxing sound of the waves. The cottage has a spacious dome shaped room with a double bed, fold out couch and a table with chairs.
The Montezuma Firefly Beach Houses are located about 10 min walk along the beach from Montezuma town, 2 minutes away from the Turtle Hatchery and 15 min from the amazing Playa Grande. The Firefly Beach Houses consists of three places: a cottage ideal for a romantic getaway, a two-story-house perfect for families, and a cabin that is a great spot for individuals or couples looking for a more rustic experience. The places are close to each other but they still are very private from each other.

How to get here?
There are many ways to get to Montezuma from the San Jose airport. You can arrive by car and ferry, bus and ferry, shuttles, shuttle boat from Jaco, or airplane and taxi/bus.
We strive to be an eco-friendly house and encourage our guests to pack lightly as the road comes to an end before you get to our property so there is a short walk on the sand.
You can park on a public space by the side of Montezuma Turtle Hatchery on the beach and walk aprox. 150 mts to the house. It’s preferable cars not to drive on the beach and you will see signs warning about this, but if you have a 4 x4 and are a skilled driver on fluffy sand you can enter Firefly Beach Houses for your convenience.
It’s highly recommended to arrive to the house in daylight. The sun goes down just after 6 PM in Costa Rica. It’s always a good idea to carry a flashlight.
